Cigarette is a punchy, soulful pop-rock song about two people who have reached that point in an argument where neither one is backing down - and maybe the smartest thing to do is just walk outside for a minute.

Built around the tension of a relationship coming apart, the song mixes frustration, humor, and resignation with an upbeat, guitar-driven feel. It’s about knowing there may not be anything left to fix, being too stubborn to keep fighting about it, and deciding you’d rather bum a cigarette than have the same argument one more time.

Direct, melodic, and a little sarcastic, Cigarette captures that messy moment when the fight itself has become more exhausting than whatever started it.
